Ha, yes, I am in choir. Before you start with the "choir queer" status quo, I am not a "choir queer"; I simply enjoy singing, acting, and dancing. I recently got to go to a choir convention, select men's choir got chosen, and we watched some of the most amazing singers I have ever heard. These men, sang barbershop, the experience was enticing, and I loved it. Soon after, I got an invitation to join the highest select choir possible in the middle school...Cantabile. Cantabile is exactly what is means a group of select singers. Even after I got accepted into that, I tried out for show choir, made it, and had the first practice today. The down side is, that over the weekend, I lost my Tenor. (tenor meaning how up the scale I can sing). I have to sing Baritone, or Tenor 2 at times. I am stuck between those two, and it's hard. Eventually though, my voice will be at baritone, to my demise of course. I want to stay a tenor, but times change, and I suppose my harmony with Taylor (my girl friend who sings soprano*¡) are numbered, and I will have to sing with the altos. Then after show choir, I get to be in the musical, and further more Select Men's Choir. I didn't do Opus*² though, which is the only choir thing I didn't do, but oh well, I didn't want to do it,( you had to sign up for it, you didn't get chosen). Then to add onto that, school testing, homework, Taylor, holidays, family, and Jr. National Young Leader's Social Conference, the trip to Washington DC, driving, and getting a job. I know I made this seem like a lot, but really, I wish they would give me more homework to do, I have to much spare time. D:
I love having the rush of time, it keeps me working, and it helps me to be a perfectionist in everything I do. Back on subject though...choir. It has become an even bigger part of my life then it was last year, and I am awaiting any curve balls that come from this large portion of the pie, that is my life.

*¡-- Soprano is the highest group of women in a choir, they normally sing harmony, when in company with men, with tenor.

*²--Opus is a group of people that sign up to learn music, and they send it into judges...the judges decide which recordings they like best, and those people win.

Feel free to ask questions or comment, or simply read. You can even, not read the thread, ignore it, and comment saying... "wow big post, I hope you have time for all of it." I just wanted to express my feelings ;D

Thanks for reading...if you did. x]

JK
I don't even think that my school even has a choir.. its very odd that you have all that stuff to do and still want more; total presidental material.

AAND, how can you learn to drive when your 13? That doesn't make any sense to me. Neutral

Hey, that totally was not a fail. Its just here, up in canada, you need to be 16 to get your permit and the government has been threatening to bump it up to 18. Shocked

13 is really young to get a permit.... but maybe thats only because i'm so used to 16.

Actually, you get your permit at 14 in Iowa. -rollseyes-@ Neo (=p jaykay)

I am getting even more enveloped by choir, I loved it before, but last year, and this year have been the years that I have really got into it. I suddenly have the urge to sing every time I hear music, and even when there isn't, I want to break out in song. My friend, Latyon, is that way too. Except he was like that in sixth and fifth too =p
Not to say I don't like singing, I just have to hold back that temptation, It's kind of like a new feat or obstacle to overcome.

BTW, choir started officially in sixth grade.
